Handmade Large Wooden Origami Rabbit Ornament

In Japanese culture, rabbits (usagi) symbolize good luck, prosperity, success, longevity, and improvement or forward progress. Their ability to leap forward represents growth and overcoming obstacles. According to Japanese folklore, a rabbit lives on the moon, pounding rice to make mochi. Rooted in an ancient Buddhist tale, the folklore celebrates the rabbit's compassion and selflessness.

Each rabbit is handmade from laser-cut wood and authentic Japanese chiyogami paper.

This design features small gray and white momiji (maple leaves) on a light gray background with metallic gold details.

Lightweight and durable, these large rabbits can be displayed as hanging ornaments or placed on a desk, shelf, or decor arrangement. They are sealed with multiple coats for water resistance but should not be soaked or displayed outdoors. Prolonged direct sunlight may cause colors to fade. Please handle with care to avoid breakage.

Each rabbit includes an attached hanging ribbon. If you need a longer hanging length, just leave a note with your order and we'll include extra ribbon for you to tie to your desired length. You may also replace the ribbon with your own if preferred.

Each rabbit comes individually packaged in a protective gift box and includes a symbolism card.
